What is DuitNow QR?
DuitNow QR is a hassle-free and secured instant fund transfer service that enables you to make and receive funds nationwide by using a DuitNow QR code, which is also known as Malaysia’s National QR code. DuitNow QR is an industry-wide initiative governed by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet).
Where can I use it for?
Look out for a DuitNow QR code standee at participating merchant outlets. You can scan a DuitNow QR to pay a merchant when DuitNow QR is presented.
How can I start using DuitNow QR?
To use DuitNow QR:
- Launch Boost app on your mobile device.
- Tap on “Scan QR”.
- Start scanning a DuitNow QR code. you may be asked to enter the amount or confirm the amount displayed.
- Review the transaction details before you confirm.
For first time use, you will need to allow Boost App to access your phone camera before you are able to start scanning.
How long will it take to process DuitNow QR payments/fund transfers?
DuitNow QR payments/transfers will be processed immediately.
Do I have to pay for using DuitNow QR services?
There are no charges for any DuitNow QR transaction now.
How secure is DuitNow QR?
DuitNow QR is protected by Quick Access (biometric authentication) and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
For any DuitNow QR payment at merchant, the payment must be authenticated with Quick Access or password.
Each DuitNow QR transaction amount is also subject to the Quick Access Limit and daily transaction limit set. Also, you can only set up DuitNow QR on one (1) device at any moment to use DuitNow QR.
Am I able to use DuitNow QR overseas?
No, DuitNow QR is currently available for use in Malaysia only.
The merchant or I, have made an erroneous transaction. What should I do?
If you are at the merchant’s premise, kindly settle the dispute with the merchant directly. If there is a need for further investigation, kindly report this matter to customer support center by submit a request through our app or website, www.myboost.com.my or send an email to us at email@example.com
How can I view the details of my past payment transactions?
You can view the details on your Boost app Transaction History.
What if I do not have sufficient funds in my account?
You will see an “Insufficient Balance” message and will be unable to proceed with the transaction.
