How do I transfer out money from my wallet?
Beginning from 18th May 2020, the transfer-out feature in our app has been disabled to avoid any risks of unathorised transactions to a third party account. As the safety our user's Boost accounts is always our number one priority, we'd like to ensure that your funds are remained safely within your Boost wallet.
Will there be a processing fees charge to my Boost wallet when I transfer out my money during termination process?
Yes, Boost will charge a fee to customers who transfer out money from their Boost wallet to their bank account of choice with a 2% fee, up to a maximum of RM2 fee for each transfer out request. The charges will be paid by deducting from the Boost available balance.
I received a message "Limit Reached" , Why am I unable to make a payment or purchase?
You will receive a "Limit Reached" message when you have reached either your spending or transfer limit. Please refer to your respective wallet limits below:
Basic Wallet
- Basic Wallet Daily Spending limit : RM2,000
- Monthly Spending limit : RM 2,000
Premium Wallet
- Daily spending limit : RM4,999
- Monthly spending limit: RM4,999
- Monthly Transfer limit : RM4,999
Do note that your monthly limit renews every 1st day of the month.
How do I send money to a friend?
Here at Boost, we understand how important it is to stay connected to your friends. Sending money to a friend is a straightforward process as below:
- Navigate to the "Home" page and click on the "Send Money" button on the bottom left
- You will be brought to the "Send money" screen
- Enter your friend's mobile number under the "Mobile number" section.
- Enter the amount you would like to send
- After confirming the amount, enter your 6-digit PIN to proceed with the transaction.
- You will be brought to the "Success" screen once the transaction has completed.
Why can't I send money to my friend?
You will not be able to send money to your friend in the event he/she has reached their wallet limit. They will need to utilize some of their wallet balance or upgrade to a Premium Wallet for FREE (if they are on a Basic Wallet) before you can send them money.
Why can't I send money?
There are various reasons why you might be experiencing technical difficulties sending money to your family or friends. Please check and eliminate all the below-mentioned issues generally related to this:
- You might not have sufficient money in your Boost wallet. You can check your remaining wallet balance by looking at the top right hand corner of your screen. If you do not have sufficient balance, you can add money to your wallet.
- The mobile number that you want to send money to is not on Boost yet. If your friend is not on Boost, you will be prompted to send a message to him to download and register for Boost.
- The mobile number that you want to send money to might be inactive. Please confirm with your friend that his mobile number is still active.
- You do not have internet connectivity. Please confirm that you have mobile network connectivity before you proceed with sending money. If the issue persists, please send us a request and we will be with you shortly!
Are there any fees associated with sending money?
There are no fees associated with sending money to anyone using Boost app, even if the recipient is using a different bank. This is why you should use Boost app to send money for FREE.
Can I get my money back once I have sent them out to a friend/family?
Unfortunately, money that you have sent out to someone cannot be retrieved. Do ensure that you are sending the right amount of money to the right person or mobile number before you confirm your transaction!
Can I request money from multiple people?
Now with Boost, you can request money from multiple people. Paid for dinner and different people owe you different amounts? Just split the bill!
You can choose to
A. split the request evenly; or
B. split the request based on different amounts.
A. Split Evenly;
- Navigate to the "Home" page and click on the "Request Money" button on the bottom right.
- You will be brought to the "Request money" screen.
- Enter your friends' mobile number under the "Mobile number" section, or choose from your phone address book.
- Choose how you would like to split your request: Evenly.
- Enter the amount you would like to request. Click next, your request will be split evenly among your friends.
- Add a note or attach a receipt if you'd like your friend to know what this is for.
- After checking through the details, confirm the request to proceed.
- You will be brought to the "Success" screen once the request have been sent.
B. Split Based on Different Amounts;
- Navigate to the "Home" page and click on the "Request Money" button on the bottom right.
- You will be brought to the "Request money" screen.
- Enter your friends' mobile number under the "Mobile number" section, or choose from your phone address book.
- Choose how you would like to split your request: Separately.
- Enter the amount you would like to request for each item, you can choose which contact to split the request with for each individual item. Add GST amount or Service Charges if applicable. Click next, your request will be split according to the amounts.
- Add a note or attach a receipt if you'd like your friend to know what this is for.
- After checking through the details, confirm the request to proceed.
- You will be brought to the "Success" screen once the request have been sent.
How do I edit my request for money?
- Navigate to the "Transactions" page and click on the request that you would like to edit.
- You will be brought to the Request page that includes all the details. Click "Edit", and make your changes.
- After checking through the details, confirm the request to proceed.
- Your request is updated.
- Please note that you can only edit requests that are still in the "Pending" state.
Can I remind my friends to send me money?
To send a reminder to your friends/family to send you money, simply follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the "Transactions" page and click on the request.
- You will be brought to the Request page that includes all the details. Slide left on the contact name to send a reminder to them.
